McKenna's face is unique, having the eyes of Agnes Moorehead and the mouth of Barbara Steele, reeking with seductive power. She lures men to their deaths like a spider. One of our best psychological horror films.

Interestingly enough it was from Porter and not his future wife Evans. Most definitely recommended. 16mm.

Disc One features the original foreign language edition, Sampo, subtitled in English and taken from a mint 35mm anamorphic widescreen print with beautiful color. Disc two is the AIP American edition, dubbed in English and taken from a nice 16mm color print.

Don't confuse this title with some of Karloff's later Columbia "mad doctor" pictures. This one was produced by British Gaumont and easily stands on its own merits. When a death occurs, Mason is driven to do his own detective work and determine whether it was murder. He soon finds himself considering murder himself. Mason's real life wife, Pamela almost steals the show as a beautiful femme fatale. Literate script and fine acting with some great twists.

Delightful is the perfect word to describe this film that is full of sci-fi gimmicks, plot twists, slick and not-so-slick criminals, and gorgeous dames. Podesta is a 100% bonafide KNOCKOUT! Leroy is fantastic as the suave criminal mastermind who instigates a plot to steal seven million pounds from an "impenetrable" bank vault. There isn't a wasted moment in this film. A definite must. Beautiful color, widescreen, 16mm.
