At one end of island is the archeological site of Akrotiri, a city frozen in time by an eruption 3,600 years ago. Naxos offers serenity, bargain rooms, and ancient Kouros sculptures. On trendy Mykonos, we catch R&R, then head to the ancient ruins of Delos, the birthplace of the sun god Apollo.
