Accountant Frank Bigelow (Edmond O'Brien) needs to get away for a few days fun and freedom before committing to fiancee Paula Gibson (Pamela Britton). After a night on the town in San Francisco he wakes up not feeling so good, doctors confirm that he has been poisoned.
