Description
Twenty-three-year-old Jason was one of seven children born into an extremely strict Southern-Baptist family. The kids were not allowed to listen to the radio, see movies or wear certain clothes. His father, a preacher, and his mentally unstable mother were quick to dole out punishment in the form of excessive spankings. To the outside world, Jason and his siblings seemed to portray a picture-perfect family, well behaved and blessed with a talent for music. But inside, the children were growing up sheltered, depressed and living in fear. Things got worse when Jason's mother revealed she is a lesbian and divorced Jason's father. Banished by the church, Jason's father had to take several jobs to feed the many hungry mouths in the home, leaving Jason to be cared for by his older siblings. As one by one his sisters and brother left the house, Jason was left with no supervision at all, and quickly turned to drugs and alcohol to fill the void his childhood had left. Now he shoots cocaine 15 to 20 times a day, drinks from morning until night, and pays for all of it by selling drugs to college students. Everyone in Jason's family knows it's time to repair the damage a lifetime of neglect has caused, except one person - Jason's younger sister Joy, the baby of the family, who is quickly heading down the same path as Jason. Can a double intervention save the two youngest members of the family?
